Unique content

Is a term that relates to search engine optimization (SEO). It meanscontent is original and not duplicated anywhere else. Unique content plays a key role in search rankings because search algorithms rate unique content highly and can penalize websites for posting duplicate content.

User-Generated Content (UGC)

Alternatively known as user-created content, is any form of content, such as images, videos, text and audio, that have been posted by users on online platforms such as social media, blogs and forums.

Universal Search

(also called blended search) is a term from search engine optimization, which refers to generic search. For a so-called universal search, results from different databases are all provided in one list. X.

Unnatural Link

 Any link that intends to manipulate the PageRank, or the search engine results, no matter if there is a link to your site or an outgoing link from your site, is considered an unnatural link.

URL

URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator and will include HTTP or Hyper text Transfer Protocol, HTTPS or Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure for online resources, “mailto” that represents the email address, “ftp for the files on File Transfer Protocol and telnet for sessions to access distant computers.

The main purpose of the URL is to point at a web page or a program on any website. The URL will therefore comprise of the domain name which identified the server, and a program name which is path to a file on that server. It can also specify network port which is being used to make a connection or a particular reference point in any file.

URL Parameter

Are parameters whose values are set dynamically in a page's URL, and can be accessed by its template and its data sources. This makes pages incredibly dynamic, enabling a single page to power an endless number of views.

Usability

 Is about people's behavior after they arrive on your site, with the main goal being to increase the conversion rate.

User Agent

 (a softwareagent) that is acting on behalf of a user, such as a web browser that "retrieves, renders and facilitates end user interaction with Web content". An email reader is a mail user agent.

User Experience (UX)

User experience refers to a person's emotions and attitudes about using a particular product, system or service. It includes the practical, experiential, affective, meaningful and valuable aspects of human–computer interaction and product ownership.
